It is a massage with roots in the distant past, born in India 5000 years ago in order to restore the balance between body and mind. This goal is achieved mainly through the stimulation of the energy centers with which, according to the Ayurvedic philosophy, our body is endowed: the so-called chakras. According to the Ayurvedic philosophy, the manipulation technique used to perform the massage in question represents the means through which it is possible to achieve balance and perfect harmony between body and mind. According to ayurveda, in fact, every part of the body is influenced by three main bio-energies, the so-called doshas (called Vata, Pitta and Kapha); an imbalance of these energies would lead to the appearance of different types of disorders, which vary according to the dosha concerned and the part of the body influenced by it. Ayurvedic massage, therefore, is one of the many means used by the nalternative medicine of the same name to restore balance within the body and mind, thus promoting the psychophysical well-being of the individual.
Ayurvedic massage involves the execution of manipulations in different areas of the body that - in addition to promoting blood circulation - promotes the circulation of vital fluids with the consequent achievement of a newfound harmony between body and mind. The execution of the massage - besides rebalancing mind and body - can also be useful to contrast different types of disorders, including: muscle tension; insomnia; anxious states and stress; joint pain; cervical pain; headache; swelling of legs and feet; cellulite and localized adiposity; slight alterations or disorders of blood and lymphatic circulation.
